Blogger’s log – Saturday May 2, 2015 – 0800 hours
The equipment checks have been going well, but my co-pilot was sucked into a wormhole near the Editing Nebula. I refuse to leave a man behind if anything can be done.
The rescue mission to save my co-pilot from the Editing Nebula wormhole was a success. Although it appears to have jumped us hours into the future. We must get our ship on course and headed to Necronomicon in due haste. Our delayed arrival will surely hurt our research mission to the Deadite home world.
We have received a transmission from the USS Micheal that his shuttle has arrived on Necronomicon ahead of schedule. If only we could say the same. I tell my pilot to push our warp drive to it’s limit. I will not let our delay harm our final mission.
We have arrived safely in the galaxy of Necronomicon. I join the away team to conduct our study of Necronomicon’s moon, Bellingham and make contact with the Leader of the tribe of natives in the capital city of Rubber Chicken Comics. The people seem invigorated but a little weary from the activities f their day. For here on this day they celebrate with much liveliness and excitement the day that is known to them as “Free Comic Book Day.” I gather a small collection of fascinating literary resources to take back to my home world and bid the incredibly welcoming people of Rubber Chicken Comics a fond farewell.
A message from the Deadties has been received we are needed on the slowly floating asteroid trapped in orbit around the Necronomicon home world – The Lucky Dog Music Hall -immediately.
We have arrived safely at the Lucky Dog Music Hall and have changed our dress to fit in more inconspicuiously with the natives. I have doned the visage of a local goddess known as “Poison Ivy” while my crew blend in with with the locals. The crowd is forming. It is time for the festival to begin.
Bloggers Log – May 3, 2015
Last night’s festivities were an experience I wouldn’t give up for the galaxy. Myra K-Rock was my guide as the leading clans, Trick or Treat Radio and Haunting TV guided the crowd through the evenings events. There were musical performances by Nocturnal Creatures, The Agents of Chaos, Telectrix, and The Deadites, that rocked the Lucky Dog asteroid to it’s bedrock with synth-inspired flare, and clever nerd-culture inspired lyrics. By the end of the night my crew was flushed with excitement, with pockets full of comic bookd, and necks adorned with beads and circled with glowing necklaces. If I thought our first visit to Necronomicon was a success, then I consider this one to have far outpaced our initial contact. This has been an adventure I hope to revisit in the future.
I have included here links to more information about the clans we interacted with during the away mission:
