Changes are both liberating and terrifying

The Pintrest inspired up-cycle project begins

So many changes in my life lately, and as overwhelming as it can be sometimes, I’m also incredibly excited to get everything moving.

Bullet points:

  • Haunting TV is expanding! 5 Separate channels and some new faces joining!
  • I’m chopping up all of my clothing and seeing how my pintrest inspired scissor, sharpie and bleach pen extravaganza goes!!
  • I’m slowly seeping my way into the magical world of podcasts 😉

First off, as many of you know, I’m also a youtuber over on my Haunting TV channel, and that’s were I explore all of the mediums of horror in video format. But the problem Alexander (my youtube co-hort) and I are discovering, is that our channel is just too jumbled and random. Movies, comics, games, books, and our webseries all crammed into various playlists on one channel. Yeesh. It’s such a mess. Combine that with how much time we’ve been taking to film and edit each video, and we aren’t even able to talk about all of the thing we want to! For most of our videos we’ve been dressing up sets anyoutubeiconeyeborder2d studio style lighting around my desk and then taking hours to film take after take of my reviews with our Cannon 5D and 2 shotgun mics. All of this is great quality-wise, but just too cumbersome time-wise. So we haven’t been able to keep up with all of the things we want to talk about. For me, that’s meant leaving my little book corner woefully neglected and for Alexander it means his gaming is crawling along at a snails pace. And that doesn’t even touch the tours, top 10s, and dramatic readings we’ve been working on. So. to solve the speed of creation issue, we’re switchin’ to cell phone videos and bringing in some guest reviewers. We’ll be introducing them very very soon. I can’t believe we may have found our horror nerd soul-mates so gosh darn close to home. And it’s going to amazing to geek out with someone about the things I’m reading and watching. And with switching to cellphone videos I end up being a lot less camera shy. LOL, yeah, that’s been a problem. It will mean a transition period of some awkward bumbling on my part, but in the end, it mean more content on a regular basis for all of my interests and a more organic and fun YouTubing experience for you and me 🙂

Now for the ambitious part- to declutter the channel we’re sectioning Haunting TV into separate channels

  1. Haunting TV – Home to our narrative expression
    1. Original Web-series
      1. Haunting Light
      2. and two more that are in the works 😉
      3. Behind the scenes footage from our projects
    2. Tours of haunted places
    3. Music Videos
    4. Visual Poetry
    5. Still going to be our home base with all of the lists connecting all of our various branches
  2. HTV Movies
    1. Movie Reviews
    2. Interviews
  3. HTV comicsComic reviews
    1. Comic shop tours
    2. Interviews
  4. HTV books
    1. Book Reviews
    2. The Spider’s Nest (aka dramatic readings with my animated illustrations)
  5. HTV Gaming
    1. Let’s Plays – Our “Watch Us Die” Series
    2. Reviews
    3. Discussions

And then there’s my overwhelming need to update and spruce up my wardrobe. I realize I was all about the rockabilly fashion not too long ago, but here’s my main problem. I can’t freaking afford those beautiful, colorful, lovelt things just yet, and my sewing skills are not up to par for those projects. So, I’m on to project Wardrobe Frankenstein. I’ll post things here ast he experiment gets underway. Don’t worry- I’ll be sharing all of my wins and fails no matter how they come out. It’s going to be an adventure no matter which way it goes. 🙂 Here’s my pinterest board, if you’re interested.

As for the podcasting? More on that as it develops.

Sorry to explode plans and lists all over you, but I just needed to share all of the crazy I’m getting into 🙂

  1. I believe everything published was actually very reasonable.

However, think on this, what if you typed a catchier post title?
I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to run your blog, but
suppose you added a headline that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean Changes are both liberating and terrifying
    | Horror Made is kinda boring. You might look at Yahoo’s
home page and note how they create news headlines to grab people to open the
links. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab readers interested about
what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little
    livelier.

  2. I do not even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great.
I do not know who you are but definitely you’re going to a famous blogger if you aren’t
    already 😉 Cheers!

    • However you did make it here, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. 🙂 I’m just a new little blogger, but thank you so much for the compliment! *gets stars in my eyes* I do hope someday to be a big fancy blogger. But for the time being I’m very happy to just have a place from my writing to call home and people like you to talk to.
