To Inspire You:
Damn, the light went out.
That’s ok, I know my way.
Did you hear something?
~Jeanette Andromeda
Created by You:
Last week’s prompt was “Locked Away”. And, as usual, you all came up with some fun, frightening, and wonderful haiku. But I wanted to share with you all the vulnerable longer-form poem David Bradley Bailey shared. This poem is based on David’s personal experiences in a mental institution.
David, thank you for sharing this with us. It really touched me. It’s powerful hearing this child’s perspective on a dark time for the family.
On to the haiku:

Oh, and instead of shameless self pormotion this week – did you know that one of our #HorrorHaikuesday crew has published a collection of her dark haiku and other poetry? Well now you do, and here’s a little more information about it 🙂
My book Horror Haiku and Other Poems (born from #HorrorHaikuesday) is now #free until July 31st on #instafreebie https://t.co/yGs9X7QYZU pic.twitter.com/7pZle2lTME
