Something incredibly rare is going to greet our skies tomorrow morning. A Super Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse. Which, in America at least, hasn’t been seen since 1866. Here’s what says a “super blue blood moon lunar eclipse” actually is:

Blue Moon is when two full moons happen in the same calendar month; lunar eclipses occur when the moon passes into Earth’s shadow; and supermoons happen when the moon’s perigee — its closest approach to Earth in a single orbit — coincides with a full moon. In this case, the supermoon also happens to be the day of the lunar eclipse. (

So, let’s celebrate the rare and awe inspiring today and at the end of this post there’s a little gift for you to celebrate another milestone. The milestone is one that’s huge for me, but a whole heck of a lot smaller than a super blue blood moon eclipse.

Last week we created haiku based around Furious George and the Curious Case of Horror Haikuesday. Here’s what you made:

A Gift for You:

I also want to celebrate my YouTube channel (almost) reaching 200 subscribers! As of right now we’re at 195 amazing, creative people. So, I wanted to celebrate the milestone by giving away a high resolution download of today’s artwork. It’s perfectly sized to be a desktop background. 😉 As always, thank you for keeping me motivated and I hope you all have an amazing week!

Here’s where you can download the file: Super Blue Blood Moon

Stay creative my friends! ❤
