#HorrorHaikuesday Greets the Super Blue Blood Moon

Something incredibly rare is going to greet our skies tomorrow morning. A Super Blue Blood Moon Lunar Eclipse. Which, in America at least, hasn’t been seen since 1866. Here’s what Space.com says a “super blue blood moon lunar eclipse” actually is:

Blue Moon is when two full moons happen in the same calendar month; lunar eclipses occur when the moon passes into Earth’s shadow; and supermoons happen when the moon’s perigee — its closest approach to Earth in a single orbit — coincides with a full moon. In this case, the supermoon also happens to be the day of the lunar eclipse. (space.com)

So, let’s celebrate the rare and awe inspiring today and at the end of this post there’s a little gift for you to celebrate another milestone. The milestone is one that’s huge for me, but a whole heck of a lot smaller than a super blue blood moon eclipse.

Created by You:

Last week we created haiku based around Furious George and the Curious Case of Horror Haikuesday. Here’s what you made:

A Gift for You:

I also want to celebrate my YouTube channel (almost) reaching 200 subscribers! As of right now we’re at 195 amazing, creative people. So, I wanted to celebrate the milestone by giving away a high resolution download of today’s artwork. It’s perfectly sized to be a desktop background. 😉 As always, thank you for keeping me motivated and I hope you all have an amazing week!

Here’s where you can download the file: Super Blue Blood Moon

Stay creative my friends! ❤
