I am so excited to introduce you all to this month’s featured artist, Samuel Bazdresch. Sam has a wicked way with oil paints I think you’re all going to adore. (I know I’m in love with his humor and skill already). Sam is a St. Louis based artist in the MFA program at Fontbonne University. He lives with his wife Millicent, daughter Hailey, dog Gaston, and two cats Lex and Layla. He’s come to art in a very interesting way. Which is as a chef first. He actually has two degrees in culinary arts and baking and pastry arts which have helped put him through school.
Now that you know a little bit about the hard working individual who’s art we’ll be seeing this month, let’s see his painting!
To Inspire You:
Today’s inspiration comes from Sam’s Slasher series where he recreates classic paintings with a horror pop-culture spin. Today’s piece is called “Nymphs and a Satyr”. It’s a 2’x3′ Oil on Canvas painting and hey, if you love it, it’s yours. See Sam’ website for originals: .sambazart.com and prints are available on his Red Bubble store: redbubble.com/people/sambazart.
It’s all fun and games
until Jason decides it’s
time to cut things short.
